About IAP

The Institute of Architects, Pakistan (IAP), established in 1957, aims to organize and promote the architecture profession in Pakistan, enhance architectural education, enforce ethical standards, and foster international connections. IAP has been instrumental in founding and supporting architecture schools, including the first one in Karachi. With over 2500 members and 2600 student members, IAP is active in hosting events, workshops, and design competitions, and collaborates with government bodies on environmental, educational, heritage, and urban planning issues. It is affiliated with international organizations like UIA, CAA, ARCASIA, EAROPH, and SAARCH, and has six regional chapters across Pakistan actively contributing to the profession and community

To felicitate Ar Yasmeen Lari, Past IAP President /PCATP Chairperson for winning the Jane Drew Prize 2020, the Institute of Architects Pakistan organized a ceremony in her honour on Sunday 1st March 2020, 8 pm, at Marriott Hotel, during the IAPEX 2020 Gala Night Dinner and Musical Evening hosted by IAP Karachi Chapter during which she was presented a shield by the IAP President and National Council.
