IAPEX 2016 by IAP Lahore Chapter

IAPEX 2016, Lahore was held at Faletti’s Hotel from 3rd to 5th March, 2016. A total of 112 stalls by 60 exhibitors were booked by Building Material and Products manufacturers and Service providers.

The formal opening ceremony of IAPEX 2016 was performed on 3rd March by CAA President Ar. Rukhshan Widyalankara. The Building Material and Products exhibition was open to General Public from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The event was resounding success.

IAPEX-2015, Lahore Forum: (3rd and 4th March 2015)

Ar. Asad Ali, Member of the Executive Committee Lahore Chapter – IAP was appointed Convener IAPEX 2016, Lahore Forum. The details of the event are as follows:

The theme “OPPORTUNITIES & CHALLENGES, China Pakistan Economic Corridor”, was chosen to understand, familiarize and prepare ourselves with the new wave of advancement that surrounds us in the present time. Eminent speakers from across Pakistan and abroad shared their knowledge on the use of ‘Technology in Architecture’.

Closing Dinner:

The closing dinner of IAPEX 2016, Lahore was held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore on 5th March, 2016. Mr. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary (Minister of Planning, National Reforms, and Development) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. After the conclusion of Awards and Shield distribution ceremony and comments by CAA Delegates, dinner was served.

City Tour: (6th March 2016)

On the morning of 4th Day, the delegates, students and participants of IAPEX 2016, Lahore were taken for a visit of Lahore Walled city followed by brunch at Food Street.

Student Jamboree at IAPEX 2016, Lahore

The IAPEX Student Jamboree was held on 2nd of March, 2016 in Lahore, Pakistan. The jamboree continued for 3 days, followed by a series of events. ‘Let’s not talk about Design-“ For a while” being the topic of the jamboree was an initiative to bring the students together to talk about conducive ways of learning, a step towards having an insight on how the students think the studios should work, the curriculum should be designed and in what ways can the student interaction be enhanced. 20 institutes from all over the country participated in the event. Delegates from different universities such as IVSAA, UOK, MUET – Jamshoro, COMSATS – Islamabad, UET – Abbotabad, BUITEMS, UET – Lahore, NCA – Lahore, PUCAD, University of South Asia, Superior University, UMT, UOL, COMSATS – Lahore and BNU were all present at the jamboree to voice their opinions on the related issues.
